Etan Patz One of Many Children Missing on Milk
What happened to the little boy who walked to school for the first time alone and went missing.
On the morning of 25 May 1979, six-year-old Etan Patz walked the two blocks to the bus stop for school. It was the first time he had been allowed to walk to school alone. It would be the last time his parents saw him alive.
During his walk to school, someone abducted Etan. In his parents' efforts to find him, he became one of the first children featured on milk cartons.
Over time, these photos disappeared, but Etan's parents carried on seeking justice, which eventually came to them in 2017.
