Mother of Two Still Missing, Police Search the River
Nicola Bulley has not been seen since 27th January when she took her dog for a walk.
Nicola Bulley is a forty-five-year-old woman who was last seen walking her dog along the riverside in Wyre, Lancashire, on 27th January 2023. A country-wide search has started to locate the mum of two.
On the day she disappeared, she dropped her two daughters off at school and then took their spaniel for a walk along the river path.
The dog and her mobile phone were found on a bench near the river. Police are searching the river as they believe she may have fallen in and drowned.
CCTV of the area also shows that she never left the field. Police are appealing for drivers and cyclists who may have been in the area to check their cameras.
Did she drown?
Despite the search of the river entering its second day, family and friends are reluctant to believe that she drowned.
One of the facts supporting this is that her dog was found close to the area but completely dry. As anyone who has owned a dog knows, the likelihood of it entering the water to protect its owner is high.
Add to this that the dog is a spaniel, notoriously keen on the water; it seems unlikely that it would not have jumped in if Nicola had slipped.
If she did not drown, then where is Nicola Bulley?
