The Wrongful Conviction of Michael Stone
The murders of Lin and Megan Russell.
When I write a case like this, I try to keep my opinion to myself; this was especially true in the early days of my writing. When I originally wrote about this case, that was the same. However, it is fair to say that I always believe the police had the wrong man in custody. I even thought I knew who killed Lin and Megan Russell.
Recent developments in the case have brought this to the news again, and it appears I am not the only one who believes that Michael Stone was wrongly convicted of the murder. The only positive in this situation is the man who may be guilty is already serving three life orders for equally brutal crimes.
The murder is gruesome, but as with most things in life, out of the devastation came one light of hope. One of the girls left for dead survived and has gone on to lead a very fulfilling life.
