Beverley Allitt committed her crimes during a fifty-nine day killing spree. She was a nurse at a children's ward in a local hospital. From February to April 1991, she intentionally poisoned thirteen children at Grantham and Kesteven hospital in Lincolnshire.

Despite this, she severed only one month in prison and is due for release next year.
