Theft at the British Museum

The recent case of the stolen artefacts that might not even be stolen.

The British Museum announced this week that they had sacked a staff member for helping themselves to the exhibits. This cunning thief allegedly had a fancy to the fancy Greek jewellery he curated. 

This employee had no low-paid job at the museum but was the curator of the exhibits, a man who had worked there for some thirty years. 

The story gets even more bizarre when you read the report today that the police were alerted to the stolen items in 2021. The museum reported that all the items were accounted for when investigated.
